Legend

Neutered male, 7 years old, wire coat

He is a sweet boy that you would never guess is 7. He is a little mischievous (only in a good way) as most Ibizans are. He's very smart and is very food motivated so will be fun to train. He loves to use his brain and figure things out. He's very entertaining and will make you laugh. He loves his dog toys and really likes a kong stuffed with treats when he goes in his crate. He is not shy and likes every person he meets. He does have energy but since he's 7 he won't need as much exercise as a young Ibizan. A walk everyday or a romp in a fenced in yard should be adequate for him. At night he loves to cuddle up with you on the couch.  He is crate trained and housebroken. He is good for his baths and nail trims. He knows his name and listens well. He does like to counter surf but we are working with him on that! He is ok with cats but it must be a dog savvy cat.

C.C.

Spayed female, 4 years old

Adoption Pending

CC is very sweet and likes attention and will follow "her person" around the house. She is a nervous girl and is shy around new situations and people she doesn't know. She is slowly learning to live in a house as part of a family and getting used to the different noises and objects. Sudden movement, loud noises, and lots of commotion can stress her out. She really loves other dogs and would love another playful dog to be with (big or small). A confident and stable dog will help her feel more comfortable in her surroundings. She is a fairly active girl and will need some way to release her energy like running around a fenced in yard with another dog. She would do best with a fence at least 5ft. She is good around cats. She is crate trained and housebroken. We are confident she can work through her issues but she will need time and a patient, understanding adoptive home. A mature household with sighthound experience would be best for CC.

Deacon

Neutered male, 4 yrs old

Deacon wants nothing more than to take long walks and snuggle on the couch with his person. Neck-scratches appear to be one of his favorite things in the world, second only to food. Highly food-motivated, he is proving easy to train. He is learning to walk nicely on lead, but is still intent on finding the end of the leash, especially if his walker steps on a twig. He is a bit high-energy and does best with two 45-minute walks per day. He will settle right down when crated afterwards. He is crate-trained and mostly housebroken. He is also working on his frustration tolerance (by letting the other dogs in the house do or have things before him without whining) and his separation anxiety (easily cured with a stuffed Kong). Deacon will do best with a person experienced with sighthounds and a fully fenced yard. His favorite people are calm, quiet, slow moving and patient, but his favorite dogs are hyper and fast! He freely approaches new people while walking and plays well with other dogs. He would not be comfortable in a home with young children as he is a bit sensitive to loud noises and fast movements. Based on his reaction to the outdoor cats in the neighborhood, Deacon would not be able to live in a home with a kitty. He would do equally well in a multi-dog home or as the only dog in the house. He does tend to get a little pushy with other boy dogs, so might need a longer adjusting period if you already have an "alpha-wanna-be" male in your home.

Shay

 Neutered male, 4 yrs old

Shay is a 4 year old male Ibizan. He is a very sweet boy, who likes to meet people, he is just a little cautious at first. His coat is closer to smooth but he has a ridge down the center of his back of longer fur. I call him the ‘Mohawk ridgeback’ because you can tousle it and make it stand up. It just gives him added character. Shay loves sleeping on the bed and snuggling on the couch, he doesn’t realize how big a boy he is. He is very playful, likes toys and loves to play with dogs though he can be a little rough for very small dogs. He is inquisitive as most Ibizans are and we are working on stopping counter surfing. We are working on housetraining and crate training. He is much more willing to do anything when food is involved, he loves his treats! He is a bit stubborn, as many hounds are, so just need to remember patience and understanding. An experienced Ibizan (or sight hound) home would be best due to his high activity level.

Harley

Neutered male, 6 years old

Harley is a curious boy. He will follow his nose on walks and responds well to a soft invitation from strangers but he dislikes rough play and strangers patting him on the head. He tolerates children but would rather have a human that places him at the top the lovie list. He loves to be scratched all over and will come over to you and lay his head in your lap just to feel closer to you. He loves to go for rides in the car and enjoys walking on the trails with his foster family. Cats don't interest him a bit and he enjoys a nap away in his own crate. He is doing well on house training and obedience training. He really just wants to please you.

“Put Me In Coach!”

 Arbeca’s Recorda Me

“Ray”

My name is “Ray” and right up front I will tell you I will never win any ribbons in any competition except the most important one of all: first place in your heart. I was born with slightly impaired vision but as you see above, I get around quite well and really you would not notice my having any problems at all. Besides, my hearing test (BAER) was perfect.

I’m a big guy, with beautiful rich red coat with flashy white markings. Age: one and a half years. My temperament is  good as it gets in my breed. That is due to my first rate parents Fresca and Ferran. I have no issues with anything and enjoy other people, places, dogs….you name it. Wherever I go, people are drawn to me. I really like your species. Therapy work would suit me perfectly. I would be excellent with a family even with young children. It would be super to be a pal and to grow up along with an active youngster or a sidekick to a young at heart adult. My house manners are darn good: very clean in my habits and not destructive.

OK, enough from Ray. I am his breeder and attest to the truth of his statements and would just add that he really is great dog. Please contact me or Erica Kasper if you are considering being that special person to give him the forever home he so much deserves. He will reward you many times over.
